Ah, the joys of the mall on "Black Friday"--no parking, long lines, and exasperated sales clerks!  Here's an alternative:  Skip the mall and shop the Ward the day after Thanksgiving (November 23rd).  The shops in the Third Ward have been stocking up with unique merchandise, and to entice you to visit, you can enter to win one of three prize packages created from over $2,000 in gift certificates donated by more than 30 Third Ward merchants.

Christmas in the Ward

Another great Third Ward event occurs a week later.  You won't want to miss Christmas in the Ward on Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st. The two-day event features a tree lighting ceremony, fireworks, musical performances, carriage rides, a silent auction, live reindeer, a cookie sale and lots of in-store promotions. 

During event hours, shoppers will receive Frosty Five gift certificates for each receipt for a purchase of $20 or more. The certificates can be used at any participating Third Ward retailer and must be redeemed before December 24th.  Click here for details on the Frosty Five promotion.

Bring your pet into Metropawlis during the hours of 5 to 8 pm on Friday the 30th and noon to 3 pm on Saturday the 1st to receive a complimentary pet photo ornament keepsake!

Holiday Gift Wrapping for the Humane Society

Metropawlis wants to do its part to support less-fortunate animals this holiday season.  So, we'll wrap your in-store purchases for free! Any and all tips that we receive from you will be donated to the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Getting through the Marquette Interchange & Parking

Getting to the Third Ward may seem difficult because of the Marquette Interchange Project, but it isn't!  Driving to Metropawlis from the north, south, or west is still very easy.  Click the icon at the right to receive up-to-date driving directions!

And parking nearby is plentiful!  Here's a tip:  Many folks stick to Water and Broadway Streets when seeking parking, but there's a lot more parking to be found just a block or two to the east, on Milwaukee and Jefferson Streets.  There are also three lots and structures within a couple blocks:

• Milwaukee Public Market Lot: The entrance to the parking lot behind the MPM is off of Water Street, between St. Paul and Clybourn. You can park free for the first hour (with MPM purchase) six days a week, and parking is free in this lot all day on Sundays.
• Parking Garages: The Third Ward has two large parking garages available for visitors. These can be found on the northeast corner of Milwaukee & Chicago Streets (212 N. Milwaukee St.) and the southeast corner of Water & Chicago Streets (225 E. Chicago St.
