January VIP specials: Save 50% on select items

Happy New Year!  We hope you and your pet companions enjoyed a safe and happy holiday season.

Royal Canin food discontinued

Effective immediately, Metropawlis will no longer carry the Royal Canin Food line for cats and dogs (including Natural Blend and Sensible Choice).  We regret the inconvenience this may cause, but distribution and shipping issues were making it difficult for us to provide our usual level of service and reliability. 

Royal Canin can be found at other local retailers such as Pet World Warehouse, Pet Supplies Plus and Petco. This decision only impacts our Royal Canin line--we will STILL carry Milwaukee's Companion Natural Pet Raw Food and many lines of treats including locally-made Three Amigos!

Watch for February event

February 9th is the first day of the New Year on the Chinese Calendar, with 2005 being the Year of the Rooster.  We are planning a special event to celebrate the Chinese New Year, complete with treats for humans and pets.  Watch for details in next month's e-newsletter!

New hours and "Humane Monday" becoming "Humane Tuesday"

Metropawlis will be closed on Mondays for the winter season. In the past we have donated 5% of our Monday sales to the Wisconsin Humane Society and that will still continue but will switch to Tuesdays. So, Humane Mondays will turn into Humane Tuesdays in 2005!  Our regular winter hours starting January 3rd will be Tuesday through Saturday 11 am to 7 pm and Sundays 11 am to 5 pm.

Safety for dark winter nights

Ice, snow and darkness pose special challenges for outdoor pets.  If you have any questions about how to care for your pet during the cold-weather months, please read the Humane Society's article, Protect Your Pet from Winter's Woes.   

Metropawlis is pleased to carry many products to keep your pet safe and comfortable in the dark and when the temperature drops.  Please visit our shop to check our line of Muttluks, paw wax, dog coats, and reflective collars.  Perhaps our most unusual safety item is the Puplight, a headlight that a dog can wear around his or her neck so that you and your pooch can see where you are going and so that drivers can see your pet well in advance.
