Summer's almost here, and it may be time to hit the road along with your
pet. Traveling with your pet can be rewarding and fun, but special
care should be taken to ensure your pet arrives safely and happily.
Before you pack, be prepared. For example, do you know that it is
recommended pets not be sedated for air travel? That's because sedatives can create balance, respiratory, and cardiovascular problems
at increased altitude pressures. The following sites will help you prepare for a safe and happy trip for both two- and four-legged travelers:

Metropawlis will be adopting a new summer schedule beginning in early June. We'll be open seven days a week! Our new schedule will be:
- Monday through Saturday: 11 am to 7 pm
- Sunday: 11 am to 5 pm
On Saturday, June 5th we're sponsoring our first-ever "Yappy Hour." Advance tickets can be purchased at Metropawlis starting May 12 for $15. Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $20.
Metropawlis, ROMP (Residents for Off-Leash Milwaukee Parks), and Companion Natural Pet Food are planning the event at Bucketworks, an art space near downtown. The "Yappy Hour" will run from 6 pm to 9 pm and will feature fun for dogs and humans alike including music, entertainment, refreshments, and activities!
