Come out to the Gilda’s Club Woof & Hoof and support a great cause! Gilda’s Club of Southeastern Wisconsin is once again hosting the Woof & Hoof Dog & People Walk this Saturday, August 5th. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. at Atwater School, 2100 East Capitol Drive, Shorewood. Registration includes a doggie bag, doggie scarf, and complimentary “Barkfest” including coffee, juice and tasty fare for all 2-legged participants. Finally, the Third Ward Sidewalk Sale will occur Saturday, August 12th. Stroll the historic streets, shop the neighborhood boutiques, and enjoy the culinary treats! The
8th Annual Historic Third Ward Jazz Festival, known as Summer Sizzle,
will again heat up the Ward this coming weekend: Friday, August 4th and
Saturday, August 5th! This free music festival features two stages of
continuous live jazz, plus food, a marketplace and more. In addition to our
regular store being open from 10 am to 7 pm, Metropawlis will have a
booth at the event from 11 am to 11 pm both days. Enjoy An Evening with
Delfeayo Marsalis on Saturday night and NILS on Friday. Local
jazz talent includes Berkeley Fudge, Daryl Stuermer's ElectraCoustic Duo,
Bourbon Street Stompers, Streetlife with Warren Wiegratz, Luis Diaz Quintet,
Johnny Padilla, Groove Towne with Anita Stemper, and Swing Nouveau. For
